If you use “Estimate km”, the destination name is queried through OpenStreetMap/Nominatim; to attempt a road route, your departure point and destination are sent directly from the browser to the public OSRM service; ComparaFactura does not store them.

How it is calculated
The recommendation keeps 10% of tank capacity as an arrival reserve. Trip cost uses the nearby average price. To choose a departure station, the tool adds the fuel purchased and the fuel used for the estimated detour (straight-line distance × 1.20, return trip). The maximum worthwhile detour compares the per-litre saving versus the nearest station with the fuel cost of the extra distance.
Full route: when you enter a destination, we try to calculate a road route using OSRM on OpenStreetMap data. If the journey exceeds the usable range of one tank, stations with official reported prices within an approximate 8 km corridor are evaluated and indicative stops are suggested. Always check access, direction, opening and final routing in your navigation app. Routing is an external best-effort service and may be unavailable.

Does it calculate stations along the entire route?
Yes, when you enter a destination and the routing service is available. The planner calculates a road route and, if one tank cannot cover the journey with reserve, suggests stations with official reported prices close to that route. Check access, direction and availability in your navigation app.
Can I enter a destination?
Yes. Enter a destination in Spain to estimate kilometres, then replace that estimate with the distance from your navigator or GPS for better accuracy.
How does it decide whether a detour is worthwhile?
It compares the saving per litre with the estimated fuel used by the extra drive and calculates an approximate maximum worthwhile detour.
